Amazon gets all the attention, but plenty of brands sell their best margins at Target, Sephora, Fnac, or Costco. Sending Meta traffic to those destinations is a different job, and treating it like Amazon leaves money on the table.

What changes past Amazon?

Amazon's Brand Referral Bonus averages about 10%, which makes it the one retailer where the traffic can partly pay for itself. The others don't offer that, so the case for sending them traffic rests on margin and on demand you'd otherwise lose to a retailer's own ads.
